Discussion on forms of a centralized and decentralized combined heat storage system for district solar heating

Centralized heat storage water bodies are commonly used in traditional district solar heating systems, which often makes it difficult to balance the differences in heat consumption grades among different heat users due to different heating ends. The water supply temperature of the heating system is determined by the water supply temperature of the high temperature heat-using end in the region, which leads to the high operating temperature of the district solar heating system, resulting in the low efficiency of the solar heat collection system and the large loss of heat storage and transmission. Based on this, this paper proposes a centralized and decentralized combined heat storage system for district solar heating, and presents the operating principle of the system. It analyses the characteristics and differences between the combined heat storage system and traditional heat storage systems, and explores key issues that need to be studied in terms of the operating characteristics of the combined heat storage system, the distribution form of decentralized water tanks, capacity design and matching, operating control strategies, and comprehensive benefit evaluation.
